A Day In the Sun: Primer for the Solar Future

Solar energy is good but is held back by its marketing and aesthetics in the modern age.

The goal of this zine was to create informative passages about solar power and its benefits while illustrating a new style for its marketing. The style direction was taken from the idea of retrofuturism, in which vintage materials are combined with futuristic ideas to create something new. In this case, the retro elements came from vintage advertisements and photography. That was then combined with digital image–making techniques and modern photography.
