Washington English Center: Celebrating Our Community

Every spring, the WEC holds a fundraiser event.
They were looking for a logo and marketing materials.

The Washington English Center (WEC) is a nonprofit that provides English language education to adult immigrants. I personally resonated with them because of my parents. Coming from the Soviet Union to the United States in the 90’s, my mom and dad came here with little resources to get them on their feet and they had to learn English in whatever way they could to find work and make money to support their relatives. This story let me empathize with the students learning English at the WEC because it was a resource that I wish my parents had in Boston when they moved west.

The WEC is a great resource for adult immigrants looking to learn English in Washington, D.C.
